• Bullshit (BS) is at its core the indifference to how things really are.
• Nonsense is everywhere. That was a bullshit claim. It's not everywhere. It may be widespread, but it's not everywhere. People don't care. They use the word everywhere to indicate something that is not everywhere. It's bullshit. Even those opposed to BS are spreading their BS.
• Detecting bullshit is easy. Until you realize bullshit can mutate, take new forms, come as a surprise. Detecting bullshit is not always easy.
• Refuting bullshit usually takes more work than making it.

The Nonsense/Sense Ratio

There is mindboggling absurdity everywhere. It does seem like we are living in extraordinary times of babble and baloney, although this could be wrong. Some sort of drivel and folly have probably existed for a very long time, but again, the foolishness we're witnessing today seems unparalleled. Today's gibberish is previously unmatched in history. The madness of modern times is unpecedented. Probably. Rubbish and silliness, it'll be the legacy of our time. Perhaps. There are stupid levels of stupidity, and simultaneously we're living in a very interesting age. What a time to be alive.

The bullshit we're surrounded with may be difficult to accept and deal with. But it's there. It's part of our reality now. Bullshit is everywhere. Not literally everywhere, and not literal bullshit. Nonsense. And it is this kind of nonsense that, somehow, have gained leverage and found its triumphant momentum in modernity.

You can't fight it. You can't fight nonsense with sense. It's like multiplying with zero. Nothing happens.

Let's not pretend we know what we should do about it. If we knew, it would be gone, or at least there would have been some BS cutbacks. But this thing ain't going away. Or so it seems.

How To Deal With Bullshit

If we can't make it go away. Literally can't. It's there, and it's there to stay. Perhaps, we don't know. But just say that's the case. BS is here to stay. What should we do?

1. First. Accept the fact that you live in a bullshit society, there's permanent exposure to nonsense.
2. Next. Deal with it. Pixelated sunglasses style.

Exactly how should we deal with bullshit? By calling out the bullshiters? But what if the ratio of BS/Sense is like 99 to 1, or even 99.99999 to 0.00001.

If you call out BS in this world, it's like, screaming "Wow! There's a tree here!" in the middle of the forrest. Or, "Man, look at this grain of sand!" in the middle of the Sahara desert. Or, yelling "Look! We've got a liar here!" inside a congressional office building. This approach seems futile.

Again, the best approach is to just deal with it. Don't try to change the world. You can't. And if you do try, you might just make it worse.

The best you can do is, once more, deal with it, and make sure you don't add more of it. Deal with BS, and don't make more of it. It's that simple.

But it's not that simple.

What does deal with it even mean? Deal with it, the way you deal with it. Anyhow. This isn't a recipe. But here's a thought.

• First: If you can avoid it, do. Yes, avoid BS if you can. Avoid external exposure to BS, and by all means, evade any internal baloney; Do not allow yourself to engage in nonsense thinking and don't execute any bullshit actions of your own; Stupid is what stupid does.
• Second: If you cannot avoid it, learn how to deal with it. No approach is the correct approach. It's just your approach, and that's how you deal with it. Capiche?

The War on BS

Going to war against BS is like trying to get rid of all the sodium in the oceans, or eliminate chemical substances from nature, or paint the sky green. It just will not happen. Cannot be done. Perhaps there's a reason for this nonsense. Or there may not be a reason, or meaning, to anything. It's all pointless. So we just deal with it. Make the 0.00001 percent of sense make up for the 99.99999 percent of bullshit. It's not much, but 0.00001 percent is certainly greater than plain 0 percent. So you take what you get, and make the most of it. It's not sad. It's just what this world has become.

Actually, it's not that dark. Some places it is. But not everywhere. The nonsense/sense ratio could be 99/1 or even 100/0 in some places, in some people, in some companies, governments, things. But there are still places where there is no bullshit at all. These are the fountains of life, the oasis of truth, and yes, this is BS lingo.

Point. You don't have to surround yourself with BS, although it's "everywhere" these days. Explore the world of beauty, excellence, virtue, things like that, iterate on processes to make things better, do the right things, find your purpose, that sort of thing. This too, sounds like BS, but everything sounds like BS these days. It's hard to tell. Deal with it.
