Betting on horse racing is stupid, because gambling is stupid. We don't like losing money. We don't spend time trying to win money. We like making money.

If you are thirsty for capital and profit, consider the option of becoming a racehorse owner.

But isn't that like, crazy expensive? Not necessarily.

You try approaching a racehorse owner, and be like, sell this horse man? How much? He'd be like, nah, not to day homye. You be like, aah too bad ma'man. You keep naggin, he keep braggin. You willn't sell? Man doesn't give up. You leave. He soldn't. But you keep hustlin. Befo' you no it, yall be racehorse owner. I'm a-buy it! Can't nobody tink d'way racehorse owners do.

Racehorse Investing 101

Owning a racehorse is like owing a company. Most people are not that rich, they don't just go out there and buy a company. Even if you are rich, you just don't go out there and buy a company. You buy shares. Because the company can go bust, and you all know you don't put all your eggs in one basket.

So you buy a piece of the pie. You buy a slice of the horse. But the owners don't slaughter it and share it, they buy horse shares. Sounds like horseshit to me, you might think, but that's what they do in a horse owner partnership.

A horse never runs so fast as when he has other horses to catch up and outpace.

Actually, it's not crazy expensive to own a horse. You might just be able to be the sole owner. We just didn't want to step on the toes of poor folks.

So how do you get started? How do you buy a racehorse, or even racehorse shares?

First rule of investing, is to understand what you are buying. If you don't know anything about horses, or anything about racehorses, go back to Horse School and study. Then, enter the game, and study which racehorses to buy.

Where to Buy Racehorses

Racehorses can be bought at public auctions, or you could try to look up private auctions. Another option would be to visit the race track, talk to the people there and learn what you can. You might even find some stuff on the internet, who knows.

Just so you know, there are things to this game which isn't in the open. Not all things can be learned from a simple internet search. There might be something really interesting going on in the world of racehorses, but if we knew, and if we wanted to keep profits to ourselves, we wouldn't tell you anything.

That said, it is possible to make money from racehorsing, but you should probably treat it as a business. This means, you need to learn a lot, build connections. If you think you will make life-changing money on this simply as a side gig, think again. If you invest your money in racehorsing, you better invest your time as well.

Investing in racehorses can be a business, and a lucurative one too. As always, do your homework.
